Last week I passed my first .Net 2.0 exam, 70-536 Application development foundation.
I actually don't need to do the exam as I can jump straight ahead to the MCSD or MCAD upgrade exams but thought I would do it any way.
My thinking was that the upgrade exams are somewhat condensed hence they might not cover all the topics in the individual exams and I wanted to make sure I had a good understanding of all the fundamentals of the framework.
Doing the exam was definitely worthwhile as I learnt a lot even though I thought I already knew a fair bit about .Net 2.0. I picked up quite a few good things particularily in the trickier areas such as the available encrytion routines.
Now I think I'll go for the upgrade exams and see if I can get some MCPD qualifications added to my name in the next few months !
